This beautiful 19th Century authentic bronze statue by famed French sculptor Hippolyte François Moreau (1832-1927) is in truly rare condition.It's finish has acquired a delightful medium patina during it's long journey through years from Napoleanic France to it's current home in Hillsborough, California where it has been displayed for the last three decades. Depicted is a young innocent skipping happily along, gathering berries in a basket while eating others from a recently plucked branch. Exquisite in it's detail, this is a piece ideally suited for museums or the most stately of homes.
